Sometimes, finding the time and the ability to say thank you is a difficult thing. Today, I am taking just a few moments to express THANKS & APPRECIATION to my beloved Mom, Diane, who has worked tirelessly to help take care of me while I recoup, provide a place for my hubby and I to stay, cook, clean, do laundry, and even give up a quarter of her own craft room so that I could have a spot to do my own work in.
This is my Mom at one of the Craft Shows we participated in together last year. I'm trying to convince her to use to talent as a seamstress, stained glass professional, and general hobby perfectionist to open up her own store on Etsy. Any help convincing her to do this would be great. The only thing that we're struggling with is: her shop name. We don't know what to name her shop. While I spend the next 4-6 weeks with Mom I told her to thank her for her generosity I would help her open her store, set it up, and show her how to run it. I think it's a GREAT idea....now I need to convince her!

It took my mom FOREVER to convince me to open an Etsy Shop and now I am SO GLAD that I did, and thankful to her for "gently" nudging me. It was so easy to get my shop set up, I've had it open since July of 2010. It's wonderful to be a part of such an amazingly talented and supportive group of artists, I'm honored really. I am building a customer base from all over the world, which is fantastic. I would love for your mom to join the Etsy world, and would definitely love to see her work!
So, I encourage you to 'set up shop' Diane!!! :) And you couldn't have a better helper to teach you the ropes!! You have an awesome daughter, that's for sure!

Your Mom would have a great time with a shop of her own. I love having mine. Trina is so right, it did take me what seemed like ages to get her to open her shop. I hope it doesn't take that long to convince your Mom to open hers.

HI Katies Mom Diane...Open your shop, because as soon as you do and you start getting sales you will be addicted..The only thing you will regret, is not opening it sooner..I promise...Now if I could just convince my mom of the same thing..lol
