Meet Daisy

MEET DAISY

I would like to take a minute to introduce you to my beloved pet, Daisy.  She is a Beagle and Golden Lab mix.  She was adopted by my husband and I in 2008.  She is a joy to be around, but she is rather lazy!  Her birthday is Dec. 1st, 2003, that makes her 7 years old!

Her daily habits consist of helping her Daddy (my hubby) load the furnace with wood in the morning, going potty and burying her poo...which is immediately followed by waking up her Mom (me), and eating breakfast.

During the day she can be found any number of places, most specifically in her bed, by the sliding glass door, or on the couch in the living room.  These are HER areas...and make no mistake about it!  When her Daddy (again, my hubby) comes home from work, she immediately cries like a baby and runs to the door to greet him.  Then she gently noses him until he gives her big pets, to which she goes back to sleeping.

She chases flies and catches mice (good dog).  But her all time favorite activity is sleeping.  Daisy has a unique and funny trait about her however...she actually snores as loud as a real person.  I wish I had a video camera so that I could tape it because it's so funny.

Some of my favorite things about my darling puppy is her one spotted ear.  You may have noticed in her pictures that her right ear is filled with spots.  It's the cutest thing ever!  She loves to go for rides in the car.  It doesn't matter to her if it's around the drive, around the block, or to visit Grandma 2 hours away!  She just loves it.

She's a very well behaved dog.  She doesn't need to be on a leash because she's constantly by your side. When we put her outside to take care of her "business" she runs right back to the door and wants to come back in.  She loves to cut down trees with her Daddy (again, my hubby) and supervises by staying in the truck.  Why?  I don't know.  We leave the doors open, but on the seat she stays...she rarely comes out of the truck.

God has given both my husband and I a soft spot for animals, especially dogs.  God had a plan for us and for Daisy.  From the people that abandoned her, to us that adopted her, we could not have prayed for a better companion and friend.

Oh Katie, Daisy is adorable! So sweet!! I loved meeting her! :) We had a dog named Smokey (she passed away a few years ago) and she LOVED chasing bugs! Reading about Daisy chasing flies reminded me of our Smokey! :)

Thank you for sharing, and I think it's wonderful that you rescued her. She is lucky to be part of such a loving family!!

Thank you for introducing your darling Daisy. I love that she wears a Kerchief, it's very stylish. Aren't the Daisy's of the world wonderful.

I have a puppy (now 3 years old) that was born on my mom's birthday. My mom passed away when I was 23 and when I heard about Penny Lane's birth date it was like getting a gift from her. I wrote about her latest episodes on my personal blog.

Thanks Trina & Sandy! I love my puppy and I'm so happy that I volunteered at the foster home (for dogs) to meet her, fall in love with her, and bring her home with me!
