Coffee Break with Katie: This Year I Will...

Previously I blogged about the goals for my store (see the post from Dec. 27th), "CELLestial BeadWorks" on Etsy....but today is all about me and my family.

You know how New Year's Resolutions go....it ends up being a bet to see how long you'll hold out or do what is actually put on your resolution list.  Well, with failures EVERY YEAR in my resolution list, I decided to do "Growth Points" this year.  So without further ado...here are my "Growth Points" this year.

In the year 2011, I would like to GROW in the following ways:

  • By having a weekly "date night" with my husband.
  • By spending more time with my friends and family.
  • By cooking one NEW recipe per week for me and my hubby.
  • By getting my "To Do" Daily list done by 12noon every day.
  • By doing something I don't normally want to do with my husband (ie: chop wood) once a month.
  • By relating to my Lord in a NEW and EXCITING way!
That's a lot to accomplish in a year....let's see how it goes!  2011....here I come!

Like the baby step idea. Break it down into small chunks. My goal is to get 100 sale on my site for the year, I'm hoping for more but, realistically
I'm going for this. That would be 2 a week! and there is 52 weeks in a year, so I could have a vacation even:)
The second thing is to lose weight! Yes I know everyone says that but I went up a size in jeans :( and found it out while shopping for new ones. My Husband loved it when I announced in the store that WE were both going to lose weight. I need a partner to do it and he needs to lose it!
Can't wait to see how we both do!

Sounds great Kath - we'll pray for both of you as I know how hard dieting can be!

Hi Brenda - Thanks for joining me on my blog. I can't do resolutions...they don't help or inspire me. But Growth Points?!?! That's a different story!
