PCETeam May Newsletter

If you thought that April went by quickly - you're right...it did!  It's time for Spring, flowers, sunshine, and heat waves!  We hope that you all enjoyed each others challenge pieces, blogs, and treasuries from last month.  This month is sure to bring a lot of fun and excitement.  As usual, here are some of the things we want you to know for this upcoming month.

1) KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!  The team is rapidly growing, but the participation is not as strong as it use to be.  Log onto our team page daily and see what other team members are up to.

2) CHALLENGE YOURSELF: Our challenge topic this month is steampunk.  For those of you who specialize in this, tips, tricks, and design ideas are welcome for those of us who have never tried this technique before.

3) HAPPY CLAYING: If you're not having a good time while playing/designing with clay, then why do it?

DO NOT FORGET TO CHECK THE MAY MERCHANDISING DESK FROM ETSY.  Many of us do not pay attention to this little newsletter that Etsy puts out.  But heres the truth...your store gets high ratings, sales, and even a chance to make it to Etsy's coveted Front Page.  Don't miss out, go and read up on April's trends.  GO THERE NOW!

MAY NEWSLETTER

BYE BYE RAIN SHOWERS & WELCOME MAY FLOWERS!!!  We would like to bring you up to date on some of the membership requirements and new things that are happening on our team.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  Just as a reminder, our team has only 2 requirements: 

1) You MUST make and sell polymer clay items in your Etsy store. 

2) You MUST have no less than 3 clay items listed at all times (unless you are on vacation).

Please do NOT forget our team rules, we want everyone to be able to participate, but you must meet the Team requirement.  While we would like our team to be a vibrant and happy place to be, we are also asking that each team member go by the rules we have established as part of the do.  Your store will NOT be automatically kicked off the team.  If we find that your store no longer meets the criteria, a convo will be sent to you allowing 1 week for your response before you will be removed from the Team.  Once you have corrected your store to fit in with our requirements, you can reapply and rejoin the team and we will welcome you back with open arms!

Additional ways to interact with the Team:
Each month we will be challenging our team members in several ways. At the end of each month, the results will be posted on the team blog  and on the captain's blog. Each month will we ask (not require) each member to do the following: 

1) Put together a treasury

2) Feature 1 member & their work on their personal blog

3) Have a "stretch yourself" challenge.

These are our items for this month, April:
- TREASURY: Create a treasury with any theme you choose using ONLY PCETeam members.You MUST include the team tag "pceteam" on the treasury.  Please note, do NOT put a "space" between PCE and Team...all one word please!
- STRETCH YOURSELF CHALLENGE: Create an item that has something to do with "Steampunk." See the discussion on our team page for details and ideas.

- BLOG CHALLENGE: Feature 1 member and their work on your personal blog.  If you do not have a blog, seek out one person that does and see if they would write a feature on you!
