Most people who are coming into your store are there because you are advertising a homemade item. What makes Etsy sellers stand out. According to market research, people who have avatars (that little picture next to you seller name) with their product OR a custom graphic get more hits and views than those people who use their picture as their avatar. In my general (limited) opinion, I agree. I love to find a shop with a cool or interesting item as their avatar. Generally I am less regularly drawn to those people with a picture only as their avatar. So make a change and a statement today: make the switch from your current "picture" to posting your newly listed item as an avatar or a festive item from last years collection...whatever you choose, make it interesting, allow it to represent the majority of items in your store, and watch your views soar!
