Today's item of the day is this set of 4 polymer clay Mokume Gane Buttons. I LOVE the look of Mokume Gane. I love how it is always different, every slice reveals a new color, new pattern, new texture, and something that makes me go "oh that's nice."
This is an opaque round POLYMER CLAY MOKUME GANE BUTTON Set of 4. This button is made using a custom mokume gane polymer clay technique. Mokume gane is borrowed from the Japanese metalsmiths. It is a way of manipulating clay to make the layers uneven and showing different colors (without a pattern) everywhere. The colors I used were transparent, emerald green glitter, fuchsia, royal purple, as well as transparent glitter. These colors create movement, design, and a uniqueness that can not be duplicated.
