Dear Carmex: I Accept

Last week I received a call from the Carmex company. I wondered initially why I had received a phone call. I welcomed it, initially with hesitation, which was immediately followed with open arms. Apparently, the representatives of Carma-Labs Inc, had read my blog post on their product. They took note of my Carmex toppers, applauded my creativity, and thanked me for honoring their 75th birthday.  This was followed that I would be receiving a token of their thankfulness in the mail.


Let me tell you that I am very picky about what which brands of lip balm I use. I have run the gamut of lip balms. And I have found my favorites throughout the years...not to mention the ones that I absolutely do NOT like! And even as I write this I still have doubts as to whether my favorite brand can compare to Carmex...based on their website alone, Carmex has more to offer in their product line than my favorite brand, Blistex.


At first I was stunned that a company such as Carmex had noticed what I was doing in my tiny little Pennsylvania polymer clay craft studio. But they also noticed something else. They notice that in my blog post, I had stated that I preferred Blistex Medicated tubs, as my preferred brand of lip balm.  Carmex is trying to change that. In their benevolence and generosity, Carmex sent me a handfull of their products to try and asked me to take the Carmex challenge.  So, to you Jeff & Paul...I will take the Carmex challenge gladly, but I will be honest with you in my results.


Carmex labs, I gladly accept your challenge. I will begin this challenge on Monday. Here are the things I am looking for from your products: nourishing properties that keep chapped lips at bay, non-greasy feeling, supreme moisture, quick and easy application, and a lip balm that lasts and does not wear off easily.
