My Computer, My Friend

Well...this past week has been very eventful!  There has been more stress than I can manage, a craft show, and the passing of a dear friend...my beloved laptop.  As I have been telling my friends, my laptop had a brain anyrism (ie: complete hard drive system failure).  I tried to resussitate it...but sadly, it passed on to computer laptop eternal.  Ha ha ha.

So as I sit here today in my office, typing on an 8 year old desktop and missing the view from my dining room where I would normally sit and watch the birds, deer, & chipmunks...I'm looking at calendars, pictures, and walls.  Bummer!

But...within the next couple of months, I will be saving up all my pennies (and hubby too) to purchase a new laptop.  A MacBook Pro.  Yes, ladies and gentlemen...this PC user is switching to MAC.  There are about twice as expensive...but worth it in the end.  My two dear friends swear by them and I really like the way that they function.  I'm excited to have a GOOD machine that I can rely on!  And no anti-virus software - WOW!  How cool is that?! So...until the laptop is replaced, we will be using my "backup" desktop.  I'm going to start praying that this oldie can handle all the things I need to do without also having a hard drive crash.

UPDATE ON THE CRAFT SHOW:
"Duck Week" as I have officially re-named the Ducks Unlimited Waterfowl Expo...went very well.  I did very well!  Sadly though, all the time, effort, and energy that I put into making Ducks...I didn't sell any of them.  You will see those show up in my store really soon!  So keep watch and keep your eyes open for the cute feathered friends that will grace my store and show their cute "quackers!"
