Today we are featuring another Etsy store & a fellow Promotional Frenzy Team Member, Crystal Gayle Photography.  Her photographs are exquisite, especially her product photography.

Hi, my name is Crystal.  I’m a stay at home mom of two children-soon to be four as we are expecting twins!  I enjoy many different hobbies, some of which include crocheting, scrapbooking, music, sewing, cross stitching, baking, and more! 

Photography has always been an interest of mine, and when I took the step from film to digital, I was in a whole new world.  The ability to explore, learn, and experiment like never before.  Then the change from a regular digital point and shoot to a DSLR entered me into another whole new world.  I started by listing my items on RedBubble and later found out about another venue called Etsy, where I have different types of prints, greeting cards, bookmarks, and more listed today.

What makes my shop unique from other photography shops is my photographs feature the detail and landscapes of the prairies in Manitoba.  I’ve also started doing product photography, as well as shooting food and still life sets.  The scenery is much different in wide open spaces compared to that of the urban areas, so it’s fun to capture something that others may never have a chance at seeing.  And I know your mother’s all taught you not to play with your food, but seriously, how else do you get some great photos to accent your kitchen, dining room, restaurant, bars, grocery stores, etc.???

One of the favourite items I sell in my shop right now is the product photography.  Each product you get to work with is so different and brings its own challenges.  Each creator of product has different ideas of what they’d like photographed and their own styles, so it’s fun to work with different customers and see them happy with results and their sales start rocketing when they use their new photos!

I have done a lot of product photography for dellcovespices who also has a shop on etsy.  Can you imagine the mess and the FUN of having a kitchen covered in sugar, drink glasses, baking supplies, food, food and more food and working with it?  And then we started with popcorn kernels and having to pop popcorn and smell that all over the house for the entire day.  Talk about temptation to go and eat it all!  As someone who can quickly make up her mind about purchasing something online by the quality of the photography, I strive to give the best quality photo of the product.  With these products, I was able to put most of my photography equipment to use by getting a real close up shot of the sugars and kernels so the customer can see in detail what it is!  I also captured the item in the packaging it would arrive in, the container/s it would be shipped in, and then with some unique props to give customers an idea of what the product can be used for.

Do I do custom orders?  If there is any photo in my shop on a product that you like, but would like to see done in a different format, I can do almost anything with them.  Some of them, due to the size of file, are limited to the size of print, but otherwise, send me a request and we will work our best to make it work.  Custom orders need to be paid before I put my printing order through and will be shipped to you as soon as I receive them.  Not only can I do my photos as prints, bookmarks, and greeting cards, they can be ordered on coasters, canvases (gallery wraps), and more.
