PCETeam: Meet TwistedCreatures

We have now met 2 of our 3 team captains of the PCETeam on Etsy.  And now I would like to take a moment to introduce you to Roxanne (TwistedCreatures).

Here's what Roxanne has to say about her love of Polymer Clay and her perfection of sculpting animals:

"As a child I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals of all kinds. I have also always loved drawing and other creative activities. Some years ago I came across polymer clay and ever since have been having fun combining this medium with my love of animals. More recently I have been using apoxie sculpt for some pieces. I hope you will enjoy these pieces as much as I enjoy making them.  My pieces are made mainly of polymer clay and/or apoxie sculpt enhanced with artist quality acrylic paints. Many pieces include metallic paints and powders, beads, crystals or other embellishments. Each piece is individually sculpted in stages, curing in between to set the detail. EVERY piece is one of a kind, with no molds used or taken. "

"I got started sculpting making little dogs for friends.  It is still one of the things I enjoy most about clay, making something special and personal for someone that hopefully reflects the true nature of a loved companion."

Winter Fantasy Horse Sculpture

Unlike many of the items in her store, this Winter Fantasy Horse in not actually polymer clay, he is made with apoxie.

"I grew up with horses so they were always one of my favorite

subjects for drawing when I was a kid.  My idea with that piece was to do a

horse for each season...I am still planning to do that but have several

other pieces on the go right now that are ahead of that!"
