Coffee Break with Katie: What Christmas Means to Me

Most people are well aware that my studio and my little "store" are just a hobby.  My full time job?  I'm an ordained American Baptist Minister, alongside my husband, who is also an ordained American Baptist Minister.  Naturally, this is a very important season for my husband and I, both because of our faith and our love of the Lord.

So naturally, Christmas to me is about far more than the decorations, chocolate, and presents.  Christmas to me is about the birth of my Savior.  It's about celebrating the fact that Jesus, stepped off His Heavenly throne and came to Earth.  Why?  To do what no one else could...save us from our sins and reunite us with a God who loves us.

Christmas to me is about the Hope of tomorrow that entered into Bethlehem long, long, ago.  Hope that we can be free from our sins and free from the snare of Satan.  Regardless of what you personally believe, no singular man (or woman) has ever had the impact on the world that Jesus Christ did.  Jesus Christ is my Lord and my Savior and He can be yours too.  For all my readers, I hope and pray that the peace, love, hope, and joy of the Christ child enters your hearts and your homes this Christmas season.  So from my family and to yours, Merry Christmas everyone!

Almighty God,

I come to you with an uncertain heart.

I desire to know you better,

Understand the gift of Your Son,

and live according to Your Holy Word.

I believe that Jesus, the baby Jesus,

Came into this world so that I might have life.

Thank you Father for the gift of Your Holy Son,

the Baby Jesus.
