My Mom's dog, Tillie, resting comfortably
while she "vacationed" here at my house!
With only two days left before Christmas I might just be losing my mind. It seems like there are a million and a half things to do yet. I sit and look at all the packages that have yet to be wrapped, the housework that needs finished before the guests arrive, and of course the cooking!
So, like every morning, I need a reminder of the important things. This morning my darling husband said to me, "even if we didn't trade gifts with one another, I don't need anything for Christmas, as long as I have you." WOW! Outside of all my stress and frustration that "it's not done," my husband reminds me of the power of love. The power of that love is similar to the power of love that sent us the baby Jesus. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16)."
So to all of us who are scrambling to get it all done. Take a time out and remember the True meaning of Christmas, the gift of the Baby Jesus, Savior, Messiah, & Redeemer.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
