Christmas Presents

I spent all day today in the studio...not filling custom orders, but rather making a very special Christmas present for my Mom and Dad. I would post some details and pictures, but those will have to wait until after Christmas. Why? Because sometimes my Mom reads my blog and I don't want her to ruin her present.

This is the first kind of item that I have done like this. I have dabbled in mixed media items and artwork, but I think this is the first that I have done something this large and extensive. I am trying out new techniques that I have read about in polymer clay books and even hints from tutorials gathered from around the web (including YouTube). Hopefully this will turn out greater than I could have planned. So far it's looking awesome and I can't wait to see the end result!
