Well friends, winter is closer than we think. How do I know this? There were a few tip offs over the past couple of days....
Two nights ago I awoke to crispy white crystals covering everything from our truck window, grass, and even my mums. This crystal-ish coldness is what we refer to as FROST! The evening cold air dipped down to 29 degrees and created magnificent frosty accents all over our woods and back yard. It was truly beautiful!
Secondly, the cold 23 degrees that we hit last night and lows in the lower 30s that we will have all week...which will be followed by the dreaded white stuff....referred to by weather people as SNOW! The picture is of our backyard...which when this was taken had over 20 inches of snow. It's hard to tell in this picture, but believe me...it was deep!
Thirdly...daylight savings time begins in just 3 days. This is really a good thing! It's so dark when we get up in the morning...6am comes early, but pitch black 6am is just tough! So on Saturday after a huge craft show and my hubby and father chopping up wood all day...an extra hour of sleep will be good for us all!
But there is a benefit to the changing of the seasons. My dog absolutely loves it! Daisy loves to play in the leaves and lay next to pumpkins. But she also loves to roll all around in the snow. Watching her absolute enjoyment of everything God has given us on this Earth is perhaps my favorite part!

Wonderful winter pictures. I'm not ready though for winter to come. We still have leaves on the trees.
